Smap3D offers integrated software solutions for the engineering and fabrication of pipelines.
The company covers the entire process chain from process engineering (P&ID), pipeline design (3D piping) and isometrics through to production planning and control. Modules for steel construction, simulation and point cloud processing (3D laser scanning) round off the portfolio. The design solutions are 100% integrated into the CAD systems Solid Edge, SOLIDWORKS and Inventor, thus enabling end-to-end system planning.
Headquartered in Germany and with subsidiaries and partners worldwide, Smap3D is characterized by many years of expertise in plant engineering and fabrication. The team assists customers and partners with everything from consulting and implementation to training and support. The end-to-end overall process in product development convinces companies from various sectors such as the process industry (e.g. chemicals, beverages, food, pharmaceuticals, hydrogen) or environmental and water technology.

T-DRILL is a leading manufacturer of high-tech tube and pipe fabrication solutions. One of our standout innovations is the T-DRILL collaring method, which offers an efficient alternative to traditional T-pieces.
The T-DRILL process is a patented technique for creating branch connections directly from the main run material. This method, also known as collaring, involves three work cycles: pilot hole milling, collaring, and trimming of the collar. All these steps can be performed on a single workstation, making it an ideal solution for forming tee joints in main run tubes in just a few minutes.
Advantages of the T-DRILL Method:
- No T-fittings: Eliminates the need for separate T-pieces.
- Cost Efficiency: Reduces costs by eliminating pipe cutting, two welded joints, and fitting expenses.
- Quality and Profit: Maintains comparable quality to commercial tee fittings while increasing profitability.
- Reduced Polishing and Inspection: Minimizes the need for tube polishing at welding points and lowers inspection costs.
- Flexible Connection: The branch pipe can be connected to the formed outlet via orbital or manual welding.
The primary goal of the T-DRILL method is to simplify the collaring process for users. Our machines are designed with ease of use and ergonomics in mind, ensuring they are not only efficient, but also user-friendly.
Key Benefits:
- No costly inventories
- Only one welded joint
- Minimized inspection costs
- Flexible tee ratio variations
- Reduced risk of leakage or call-backs
- Optimized flow characteristics
- Hygienic, clean weld points
T-DRILL’s versatile range of machine tools serves various industries, including HVACR, shipbuilding, equipment manufacturing, automotive, water treatment, food and dairy, pharmaceutical, and chemical sectors.
